Hey grandma and grandpa listen up....

I'm working on getting sick again! I really liked it when you came to get me the other week and brought me on a vacation. I'm ready to do it again! So here's what I'm doing...I'm making my stomach do those strange things again. My mom is getting nervous that I'm heading down the same road as before, and I hope I am!! I'm ready for some of that milk water and cheese again! Feel free to start making your way to get me, I'll get my bags packed.

So the cool thing about my mom getting her new computer is that she leaves it places where I can get to it! So I'm using it now while she's away and I've taken my very own self portrait with it! Did you see it above...that's right, you can just call me photographer Maddoxx!

For the love of watermelon!

Who LOVES watermelon?!?! It is the best summer treat! Even Maddoxx gets in on the watermelon eating contests! She absolutely loves it. I think we may have let her go a bit crazy with it tonight though as she's rung the bell to go outside 3 times in the last hour! Oops, let's hope the trend doesn't continue through the night. :)

Here's our latest attempt at a self made family portrait. The whole 10 second timer thing just isn't the most conducive to getting a family portrait, especially when there's a dog involved! Maddoxx was definitely more interested in the squirrels to the side than the camera in front with nobody behind it. Oh well!
Someday I will finish posting our Memphis pictures! I swear each day my stupid Dell gets slower and slower. Just when I think it can't possibly get ANY slower, it DOES!! My Mac is currently on the plane making its way to me....keeping my fingers crossed that it gets here on Thursday! I am about to drop kick this Dell, lets hope I can baby it a few more days before I turn to irrational behavior! :) I'm not kidding it took me almost a half hour to get this picture edited and saved out. Who else is fed up with their computer?!?!? I'm ready to bring it to the top of the highest tower and drop it, who's in with me? :)

Trash the Dress Baby!

Yes, that's right, I went with Mindy tonight as she TOTALLY trashed her wedding dress! We went to the Iowa State Fair with her original wedding photographer and she left nothing to the imagination, she did it all! Rolled on the ground in the pig barn, kissed a calf, poured ketchup and mustard on her corndog AND her dress (yes, on purpose), poured red wine down the front....oh yeah, it was a MAJOR trashing! It was awesome! She had the channel 8 news people following her as well. For those of you in the area be sure to tune into channel 8 on Friday night at 6PM for her story.

P.S. Yes, Mindy and Mike are still (happily) married! Many people asked us if she got a divorce. No! That is not the reason for the trashing. Instead of packing it up nicely in the box to never be seen again, she has decided to get as much use out of it as she can! Too much fun!

Beale St.

We went to Memphis for a PPA conference that totally rocked! We met some great people and learned more than we could have ever imagined. It was just awesome! It was a good thing we had the conference going on because I'm not sure how we would have filled our days in Memphis otherwise. :) We went to Graceland, the Gibson guitar factory, Beale St., and stayed at the Peabody. As far as we could tell that was the extent of the attractions other than Sun Studios which we never made it to.

We logged over 1,900 miles and crossed the Mississippi 6 times...yes 6! We opted for 4 lane interstates which took us from Iowa to Illinois, to Missouri, then Arkansas and finally to Tennessee! The 1,900 miles? Oh yeah, we had a few extra hundred because little Maddoxx decided to get sick while we were gone and her grandma and grandma came to her rescue after a couple x-rays, 2 shots, new food and a nice vet bill later. Thanks Erin for putting up with her and her sickness!!! You rock! So after the 12 hour drive from Memphis we drove an additional 6 hours round trip to pick the little diva up. She is something!

We're baaaaack!!!

Check out the time! We just rolled in from Memphis at 4 AM! We left there at 4:30PM...what a day of driving! We were planning to stop halfway....until we felt a bit crazy and said we're making it all the way home tonight!
