Lindsey and Jeff

picked the perfect Friday for their wedding.
Photobucket

(Side note and funny story: The morning of their wedding I was getting ready and heard our gate opening up....yikes, I totally freaked out! I went to see who in the world was coming in. The man "claimed" to be a meter reader. Uh-huh, I thought and went to hurry and tell Eric something was fishy. Why would a meter reader come to our house on a Saturday morning. Eric said, "Karen, it's Friday". Oh. Yeah, all is well.)

OK, back to their perfect FRIDAY wedding! :) I met the girls at the salon and didn't put my camera down the rest of the day!

Eric hung out with the guys.

Let's face it, it's a very small world, but somehow every time I am reminded of it, I am always surprised. When Eric went to school at Wayne State, he actually knew Lindsey's brother! It was very fun to see him again!! Oh and he's a blog reader (Hi Guthrie!) so he is fully aware of our style and had an eye out for locations. We loved that he came in to tell us about a rockin' location outside the church!

After the limo ride we gathered the party down by the lake for a few more shots...love it!

They danced the night away...
Photobucket

but they didn't forget to honor Lindsey's parents as they celebrated their 40th year of marriage!! Lindsey found out they didn't have a dance and was honored to let them share their "first dance" on her and Jeff's wedding day. How sweet is that?!? We were honored to be there and capture it.
Photobucket

Lindsey and Jeff - what a beautiful day! Seriously, it was so perfect and we loved being a part of it! Perhaps we were a little partial to all the details, but we LOVED how you incorporated all your engagement pics into the entire day, you rocked the decorations! Thank you for inviting us to capture your entire day and sharing your family and friends with us!

Sorry Grandpa,

Dear Grandpa,

I am sorry for destroying your shoes this past weekend. I guess I didn't deal very well with my sister turning 4 and getting all the new toys and attention. Sometimes my sister gets mad at me when I borrow her toys so I thought I would just go find my own new toy. Apparently it ended up being your shoe. Sorry, it just seemed like the perfect toy complete with the stuffing that my mom told me makes the heel of your foot comfortable when you wear them.

Please forgive me,

Love Punk

State Champ!

Cousin Kayla and her team rocked it in the class 1A shuttle hurdle to grab gold at the state track meet yesterday! It was so fun to be there and watch her run! Fierce, she is one fierce competitor...I think she might kill me if I post some of her awesome facial expressions Eric captured, so I will post this awesome one of her basking in the glory of a big win!
Photobucket
While Eric was on the field capturing all the excitement, I was enjoying my time relaxing in the stands. Uncle Kirk, well, you could say that relaxing isn't his thing when he's getting ready for his daughter to run :)
Photobucket
But his intensity gets better...(see me texting? I was texting Eric to tell him to take a pic of Kirk in all his nervous glory. :)
Photobucket
After the big win in the shuttle hurdle relay, she was also running the final of the 100m hurdle. She qualified 3rd and placed 3rd in the final! Here she is on the home stretch...
Photobucket
On Friday she also ran the 400m hurdles and placed 8th and set the new school record! She took home 3 medals for her final state meet....that only means one thing....you gotta deal with the press after such a successful season! :)
Photobucket
Way to go Kayla!! We are so proud of you and were so happy we could be there to cheer you on!! See you at graduation in a couple hours! :)

Bogue boys...

Photobucket
Here's their newest addition to the family. I'm in love love love with his eyes here! Oh my, little Weston was the longest and leanest boy I have ever seen! The NBA has got to be in his future! He's in the 85% for height and 5% for weight...how's that for long and lean?!?!

He is so long and doesn't have a belly getting in the way, so he is all about an ab workout and brings his neck up and his feet up for a perfect little foot lunch! Toooo cute!
Photobucket

Cutie patootie little profile...

Weston has 2 big brothers at home. Whoa, yeah I said there are 2 more boys in the house! A family of 3 boys...do you think there is ever a dull moment in this house? I doubt it! These boys are busy, busy, busy. But their grandma happens to have the perfect yard for busy boys! It is a yard full of too many gardens than I could ever fathom caring for. I was definitely experiencing a little green thumb envy!

The big boys playing around in the gardens...

I have to save the sweetest for last...how adorable is the big brother kiss?!?! I'm lovin' it!
Photobucket

Bogue Boys - Thank you for sharing your grandma's garden with us! We had lots of fun playing hide and go seek with the mushrooms and finding the lost shovel! If you ever need a break from helping grandma, we could always use a helping hand over here! :) We will even make sure to have the green yogurts for you! (By the way, what flavor is green yogurt anyway?!?!)

Flick family

came to Ames on a brisk Saturday morning for us to capture them and all their cuteness! It was so fun to work with them! Little Charli stole the show before the show even got started! I'm told she has a little bit of "stranger danger" in her, but I'm not believing it, there was no strange being made! She was a ham and we were having all sorts of fun chasing her around.

She is definitely the apple of her family's eye....don't you think?
Photobucket

She knows the dance to the cha cha slide!! We created our own little dance party USA.... with the Cha Cha slide. I'm not quite sure how an 18 month old can totally know what she is suppose to do during this song, but she does!

Here it is..."one hop this time"
Photobucket

In case you aren't familiar with the dance, check it out here.

McKenzie was a great big sister! They were so cute together! I'm loving me some sister love time!
Photobucket
Photobucket

Keaton...was an equally great big brother. Their interactions were priceless!
Photobucket
Photobucket

I asked Bill and Tammy if they were willing to give lessons on the art of acting naturally. :) They had an awesome set of images captured while the kids went and warmed up in the car.
Photobucket

Flick family - You guys braved the chilly elements better than we could have ever hoped for! I am loving what was captured and am so excited to get the rest of the images ready for you! We had fun learning more about your family and the miracle of Charli!

Jenney and Seth

Photobucket
are engaged to be married in just a few months! They were in town from Chicago for a few days so that meant that rain or shine we were going to do their engagement session! We drew the rain card, but it couldn't hold us back...we had an awesome session with them!

Oh magnolias how I love you so!! Each spring I can't stop talking about them and how I really really really want one to call my own. However, we are all very aware how lawn and tree challenged we are. I think I have come to terms with the fact that I will just have to continue admiring the magnolias that aren't taking up residence in our yard.
Photobucket
In case you were wondering, it really was raining on them....and the umbrella was a necessary accessory!

Ahhhh, yes....this is exactly what I love capturing....spontaneous fun!
Photobucket

And I'm in love, love, love with this one...so simple and colorful!
Photobucket

And oh my, my....how hot is this?!?! Jenney was totally rocking the heels and totally cute little black dress....yes we wanted to give Seth a few extra minutes to check her out....hot, hot, hot!!
Photobucket

Seth and Jenney - Through the rain and parking tickets, you two are the greatest sports ever!! We did have fun pushing our creative limits while staying under the overhangs with you! You certainly have a story to tell, not everyone can say they had outdoor engagement pictures taken in the rain! We are so excited for your wedding to get here and to capture all the love and joy of your day...rain free!

Meet Wrigley

Photobucket
She had no idea what she was in for when her grandparents whisked her away on a rainy afternoon after they got the call to request that she be a part of a photo shoot. Those are her parents, Seth and Jenney behind her. You will meet them in a later post, but for now, this post is ALL about Wrigley girl!

Photobucket
I admit Wrigley, it was my fault...but I just had to meet you once your mom and dad told me about you! Go ahead and stick your tongue out at me as much as you want, but I'm still going to take pictures of you! Neener, neener, neener!
Photobucket

Wrigley acts like she doesn't have a worry in the world...but check it out! She's a little obsessed with her looks and takes the chance to check herself out any opportunity she gets!
Photobucket

And because I couldn't resist taking pictures of her and her squishy and smooshy little face, here are a few more for your viewing pleasure...
Photobucket
Photobucket

The sneak peak of Jenney and Seth will be coming this week....I couldn't help but let the Wrigley pictures distract me for a little bit! Enjoy!!
